Yup, I said it. Sometimes, breakfast just isn’t the same without the fried goodness of buttery, shredded potatoes. Some restaurants try to fool you into thinking that “country fried potatoes” is so tres chic that you would forget tastefulness of good old-fashioned hashbrowns. But, I don’t buy it. Hashbrowns is to eggs-over-easy as french fries is to burgers. The most important meal of the day is just not complete without it. This is why even McDonalds has a version that comes with their delicious morning sandwiches. And, it’s not as if “country fried potatoes,” for instance, is better for you per se, hashbrowns just trumps all other breakfast sides, in my opinion.
