Time to Retire the Sandals

So, it’s 53ºF right now and cloudy in P-Town.  It’s effin cold!  Granted it’s not like we skipped autumn and headed straight to winter, but it’s gotten too effin cold for shorts and sandals.  You’re probably asking yourself: “Who in their right mind would wear shorts and sandals for anything lower than 70ºF?”  Well, Portlanders, for one.  We seem to not have any notion of seasonal changes.  The other night, whilst walking (yes, that’s right, I said ‘whilst’ like I was British or something) in around 65ºF weather, I saw a man who was actually wearing a wool sweater.  A wool sweater!  Like it was freakin’ November or something!  I almost punched the guy.  In fact, I think he’s to blame for this sudden climate change.  Wait, what if this is the precursor to that catastrophic climate shift depicted in that awesome movie The Day After Tomorrow?  I sincerely hope not.  I’m not ready for snow just yet…
